  • We had a lovely stay at your lovely cottage. Thank you for your warm welcome and hospitality; your cottage has everything you need and more, you have done an amazing job renovating, great location too.

  • An absolutely beautiful cottage - the best we’ve ever stayed in. Perfect for our weekend stay for the British Superbikes at Donington. The cottage is cosy, comfortable, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Thank you Jayne for the welcome gifts of delicious cakes and bottle of prosecco. We will definitely be back.

  • What a superb cottage, even better than anticipated! Perfectly placed for our weekend visit to watch motorsport at Donington Park. Even managed to fit in a 3 mile walk suggested in the brochure ‘Melbourne to Broadstone Lane’, perfect circular walk. So much to see around here, really intend to visit again. Thank you.

  • My 3rd stay in this wonderful barn conversion. Lovely and toasty warm inspite of the very cold, freezing weather outside. Reason for my weekend stay, my daughter’s wedding at Melbourne Church and reception at Amalfi White’s beautiful ballroom and White Bar. All guests were so impressed with the lovely little town of Melbourne, the Pool and the independent shops and surrounding countryside. I will be back and again many thanks to Jayne and Nigel.

  • OMG - what a fabulous place! The New Stables is absolutely gorgeous!! Perfect for our weekend stay for our trip to Donington Race Track to watch the World Superbikes. Jayne is an amazing host - thank you so much for the fizz and pastries, not to mention your very warm welcome - we will definitely be back soon! PS Your dogs are just too cute for words :-)

  • “ Back again 2 years on from our first stay in your lovely, comfortable home. Sadly no time to enjoy what Melbourne has to offer as busy settling Joan into her hew abode in Aston on Trent. After busy hectic days unpacking it was lovely to relax on the patio with the pigeons and pied wagtails for company. I very much look forward to staying again in January. Many thanks Jayne”

  • A beautifully presented cottage with a perfect location for walking to Melbourne and all the lovely local walks, from Calke Abbey, to the Trent River and canal to Breedon’s Church on the Hill. The book of walks was really useful and the location was warm and cosy

The Tekchandians and Browns - May 2025

  • We’ve had the loviest week here, including celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary. From the moment we stepped through the door we felt welcome - the yummy pastries helped. A beautiful cottage, well appointed, and well maintained. Jayne and Nigel couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.
